Best April Fools Pranks from Corporations in 2019

Pushing the envelope can be a great way to get your brand noticed. We’re not talking big-show slapstick performances or offensive or insensitive wise-cracks. Many brands take advantage of April 1st and the best April Fool’s pranks to remind people that they, too, are human. It can be easy to forget that big corporations like McDonald’s or Virgin are actually powered by people not unlike us. April Fool’s Day serves as a merry reminder.

Best April Fool’s Pranks – McDonald’s

This year, we’ve been treated to some saucy pranks. McDonald’s called all pickle-lovers to rejoice in the release of the new ‘McPickle Burger’ complete with cheese, ketchup, and about forty pickles stacked between a triple-layer toasted sesame seed bun. The best Aprils Fool’s pranks come with all the trimmings. Yum!

Best April Fool’s Pranks – Virgin Australia

If you can’t wait to get your hands on a McPickle but they’ve already sold out in your state, don’t fret – you can have one flown right to your door. Virgin Australia today announced their new interstate food delivery service. The company aren’t shy of an April Fool’s Day prank, tricking customers last year with ‘in-flight spin cycle classes’. That’s one way to stretch your legs on a long-haul flight!

Best April Fool’s Pranks – Groupon

Groupon released the world’s first standing sleep desk, the ‘NapDesk 2000’. We kind of wish this one were real! The ‘ergonomically designed’ desk, shaped like some type of futuristic sleeping pod, comes complete with seatbelt to prevent nodding off headfirst into your desktop. I mean, if a horse can sleep standing, maybe humans can, too.

Many companies right across the world are today taking a break from the humdrum of Monday to have a laugh (or try to raise one from their customers). Provided you keep the laughs light, joining in on the best April Fools pranks as a business can be a great way to connect with your customers and keep yourself grounded.
