Our Culture Featured at a Grand École

Our CEO, Siebert Neethling, recently delivered guest lectures on organisational culture at the world-famous EDHEC Business School in France. EDHEC is one of the Grand Écoles, the highly selective group of universities whose students have dominated senior levels of private and public sector leadership in France for decades.

EDHEC is one of the most prestigious business schools in Europe, is ranked in the world’s top three universities for studies in finance, and has just increased its international standing by ten places in The Economist 2018 Ranking of the best MBA Programmes in the world. It also has a highly innovative Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Business Studies.

Siebert’s lectures focused on the importance of organisational culture, and how to build and maintain culture. Drawing on his extensive academic study in the field, his rich experience as senior leader in commercial and NGO sectors, and his consulting experiences in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, the lectures demonstrated how and why some culture programmes succeed, and others fail.

A range of case studies highlighted the content, including an extensive analysis of our own culture at The Being Group. This example was so successful we’ve received several job applications from the students and their friends since the lecture!
