Swarm Conference and The Being Group – 2019 Partnership

We are excited to be the official partners of Swarm for #swarmconf2019. Since the inception of Swarm Conference by founders Venessa Paech and Alison Michalk in 2011, their visual identity has undergone many revisions.

With a goal to build something that community managers around Australia would feel proud to be a part of, Swarm came to us to consolidate a strong identity ahead of the 2019 conference. The Being Group rendered an identity refresh to reflect their evolution.

We reworked their signature orange palette, lifting it to a lighter, friendlier tone of yellow. This hue evokes the colour of a bee hive, referencing the collaborative existence of bees that is central to Swarm’s identity.

The addition of blue compliments the main colour to either highlight or balance certain design elements.

The website was collated into one user-friendly and visually aesthetic hub. A smooth user experience is encouraged by clean, bold typography and an easily navigable menu. Icons and links further direct users to essential information and calls to action.

One aspect that features prominently in Swarm’s new identity is its conference attendees – the Swarm colony. We worked some of their favourite images from over the years to honour not just the evolution of #swarmconf, but those who attend.

If you see any photographers walking around this year, say ‘bees!’ because you might end up a part of Swarm’s look and feel for the next #swarmconf.

If you feel your brand’s look and feel has fallen bee-hind, let us give it a refresh with our creative services.
