Climate Action Week Sydney (CAW.SYD) is a series of community-led events across Sydney from all aspects of the climate action ecosystem.

It is an opportunity for individuals and organisations to take and inspire stronger climate action, be it in their own lives, communities,  businesses, investments or what they ask of local, state and federal government.

Using CAW.SYD’s pre-established brand identity, BEING was commissioned to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals and organisations in rolling out event collateral for 2024.

As the inaugural Australian event, all collateral needed to be eye-catching and set a high benchmark for the future.

Our design process combined existing elements with vibrant new features to communicate event information in a clear way across all deliverables, such as invitations, merchandise, signage and social media assets.

Extended assets included custom iconography representative of pillars of climate action, as well as a set of brand elements featuring custom graphics and layouts informed by the base identity.

Two digital bus signs featured basic event information, custom iconography, a QR code linking to the event website and the CAW slogan. One design included colourful text against a simple, monochromatic background, while the other adopted a more dynamic approach with colourful graphics.

Two versions of pull up banners were stationed at event sites throughout the week. Both designs featured a QR code directing attendants to learn more about upcoming events on the CAW.SYD website.

Other collateral included an event splash screen design, which appeared on digital signage at event sites between sessions.

A range of templates were designed for CAW.SYD organisers to create on-brand collateral by replacing placeholder copy. This comprised templates for social media, suitable for delivery before, during and after events, and digital and print versions of a daily event schedule.

Following the success of CAW.SYD 2024, we wrote and designed an impact brochure and Canva presentation to showcase major achievements. These materials assisted key stakeholders in obtaining sponsors for CAW.SYD 2025.

Collateral design provided organisers with a suite of promotional materials that can be utilised for years to come, strengthening brand recognition and presenting CAW.SYD as an effective forum to facilitate discussions about our environment.
